This service has been created for customers who are either about to purchase some In Car Entertainment products or already have the products and require an installation service. With almost 25 years of industry experience there isn't much we have not covered. Chequered Flag Installations offer a mobile service for Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. Vehicle Hands Free Car Kits

Chequered Flag Installations supply and install most makes of hands free car kits or install a product which you have already purchased including Parrot, Nokia, and Ericsson to name a few. The Parrott range of Bluetooth hands free kits have become the most popular of kits due to their software which enables them to connect to almost all Bluetooth mobile phones. The Blackberry, PDA, iPhone and other email handsets work very well with the Parrot range. If you have an iPhone or other handset and wish to music stream with a hands free car kit this can also be possible with some products available to us.

You will now find that most manufactures only offer Bluetooth hands free kits due to most of their product range offering Bluetooth technology on their mobile phones. This enables customers to have one hands free kit fitted; they will then be able to connect to any mobile phone they purchase which has Bluetooth. There can be some complications with various manufacture mobile phones and we will be happy to discuss your requirements. The Parrot range of hands free has been a market leader for a few years, if you have an older system then there could be a software upgrade available for your unit, which will allow more modern handsets to operate with it. Chequered Flag Installations can also offer their customers additional extras such as removal and reinstallation of existing hands free kits. If you have decided to change your vehicle and wish to keep your existing hands free car kit this can usually be achievable. In some instances parts can be required where the new vehicle is a different manufacture, and these parts are easily available to us.

Drivers of a motor vehicle will face a fixed penalty fine of £60.00 and 3 points on their licence if found to be using a mobile phone whilst driving a motor vehicle. As we understand the Police will have a very low tolerance level and will be targeting drivers due to statistics of accidents.

Vehicle Audio Systems

Chequered Flag Installations have over 20 years experience in the In Car Entertainment industry. We have seen car audio peak to its highest in the 80’s and drop too much simple systems without compromising in quality.

Chequered Flag Installations can install most makes of car audio including all leading brands such as Becker, Alpine, Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer and Panasonic to name a few. Speaker and amplifier systems from Focal, Infinity and Kicker can be installed. If there are such brands which we have not listed and you need them installed please call us.

The internet has allowed most in car entertainment customers to now purchase from internet suppliers. Customers now only require a professional installation service. Chequered Flag can provide this service for you. Due to working on a mobile installation service basis this service can be limited to what is achievable. Please give us a call and discuss what products you have and we can quote for your installation. This can be anything from simple cd/radio/mp3 players, iPod connection, speaker upgrades and simple amplifier installations.

Modern cars require additional parts including fascia kit, harness adaptors and aerial adaptors etc. These parts are available to us very easily and manufactures like Autoleads have almost every vehicle covered. You provide the main units; we can provide the parts for installation, simple and easy.

Chequered Flag Installations can also offer iPod connection to your existing factory radio unit or aftermarket radio. Please call us for your requirements.

If you have an existing audio system factory or aftermarket that has gone faulty, we can assess the system and advise what action is required. This can usually be anything from a speaker not working to poor radio reception. Please call us and we can briefly discuss the problem and advise the cost for us to come and have a look.

Vehicle Security and Satellite GPS/GSM Tracking Systems

Chequered Flag Installations has over 20 years in the vehicle security industry. Over these many years we have covered a wide range of vehicle security to many different types of vehicles.

With almost all vehicles now installed with a Thatcham Category 2 immobiliser system from manufacture as standard then sometimes an additional alarm system or GPS/GSM satellite tracking system may be required.

Chequered Flag Installations can supply and install vehicle satellite tracking systems from Smartrack and Cobra. These systems are Thatcham Category TQA rated and carry and annual or duration of ownership subscription cost which is the monitoring fee. Satellite vehicle tracking has changed since its introduction into the market. Almost all insurance companies now require the system to be GPS/GSM operated. This can allow the tracking network bureau to monitor the vehicles location and assist the Police with the recovery. This process has been proven to have a very high recovery rate.

Chequered Flag Installations can supply and install an additional alarm or immobiliser system for your vehicle. These systems range from a simple remote alarm or immobiliser unit. Classic vehicles and future classic vehicles are a speciality for us. Most modern vehicles have the required security for insurance companies but these can also be upgraded if required.

Chequered Flag Installations can supply and install immobiliser units or alarm systems for most modern motorcycles. This is an area which again we have high levels of experience due to also being motorcycle licence holders. We understand that most motorcyclists consider their machine as their pride and joy, we do too.

Previous requirements from insurance companies stated that a VSIB certificate was required for cover. Today this is not always the case. Please check with your insurance company that they require a VSIB certificate or manufactures/installers certificate for proof of installation. If your requirement is for piece of mind and not a requirement for your insurance cover then again we can help you.

Vehicle Technology

DVD entertainment systems can vary from personal requirements. The options can range from an 8" roof mounted DVD system where the sizes increase in screen size to 11", or twin DVD headrest mounted units where some have either built in DVD players into the headrest unit or separate DVD player mounted under seat or boot location. Prices can vary for all types of installations so please either call or email for your quotation.

Satellite navigation systems are now more popular in a portable type where people can use them from vehicle to vehicle. Although this gives you much more versatility with your product there will also be certain times where they can be inaccurate due to only using GPS to calculate your route. Due to the popularity of the portable satellite navigation units some customers do not like the power cord draped down the dashboard and constantly taking the power from the cigar lighter socket. Chequered Flag can "hardwire" your existing portable satellite navigation power lead so there are no messy wires down your dashboard, and this also allows you to retain your cigar lighter use at all times and always have power to your navigation unit.

Vehicle parking sensors can be installed to the front or rear of vehicles very much like the ones installed from the manufacture. We can offer the parking sensors ranging from various costs and also colour code them to the vehicle if required.

Drivers Safety Alert Systems which will inform you of speed camera locations including "mobile sites" and caution areas. These units are usually in a portable or hardwired device. Chequered Flag can install these products for you as we have a vast experience in these units. The products are usually supplied with a lead for your cigar lighter and we can hardwire the power lead for a tidy installation.
